The most part of the South Coast (roughly 70% of its territory) is occupied by neture reserves, game refuges, parks. In the 19th century, the Russian gentry started fitting their summer residencies into this wealth of living nature, attracted by the local wholesome climate and the long span of the warm season. An apt combination of the gorgeous nature and manmade creation is examplified by the Foros Church. Glittering with its domes, the church is hovering in the air and seems to have always been there between the heavenly paradise and the paradise on the earth.
