From a cruise liner one can admire the view of the Crimean mountains and woods, their beautiful lines and changing colors. But the Impressions will be most complete if you breathe in the resinous air of coniferous woods and the fragrance of sunny mountain herbage.

 Upon entering a cable car, you can ascend in several minutes to Ai-Petry (St. Peter) Mountain, 1233 meters above sea level. Only there, so far above, you can survey the entire Crimean Riviera. On the way back to Yalta it is best to take a car along the mountain road that winds with hairpin curves among the rocks and age old pine trees. 

 In one of the bends In the road is a sign showing the way to Uchan-Su (Flying Water) waterfall. This waterfall is 98 meters in height the highest In Europe. Its water flow is uncertain and changes seasonally. In summer water usually trickles down the rocky, yellow and gray, slope. The music of the falling water, the taste of the pure mountain stream, the bird's song and the clear canyon air are a great reward for the long trip.

 
NOTE: famous Crimean waterfall "Silver Streams" crumbled down on January 8th, 2016. It needs about 10.000 years for the natural regeneration of the waterfall.
